Cellar for up to 10 years. Decant for an hour before serving. This is a classic Rhône Valley red, with a bouquet of red and blue fruits, black pepper, dried herbs and a subtle limestone minerality. It is composed of the big three Rhône grapes: Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, supplemented aby a splash of aromatic Cinsault. All were harvested from Domaine Brusset’s vineyards in the Gigondas appellation, famed for its bold, powerful red wines. Domaine Brusset has been part of the southern Rhône Valley’s stunning vista for almost a century. It was founded in 1947, żeby André Brusset in the commune of Cairanne, and today it is spearheaded by his grandson, Laurent. The Brusset family are driven by a desire to create the finest expression of each terroir - they do this żeby paying great respect to the land, harnessing biodiversity and using fully organic methods. Tradition Le Grand Montmirail contains 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre, and 5% Cinsault. It is medium to full-bodied on the palate, with notes of cassis, blackberry, and blueberry, supported aby hints of cocoa and dried herbs. It is a harmonious and smooth drinking experience, with a lively seam of acidity. The wine’s pleasant, grainy tannins call out for a food pairing.
